Germany

Lots of drinking during Oktoberfest in Munich
Germany is famous aswel for its beautiful xmass markets

I am a Flemish Belgian, born and raised in the Flemish part of Belgium and in many aspects my culture and country is very close to German. We also share a common 204-kilometer-long land border and my language Dutch sounds to most Germans like something between another regional dialect of German and a foreign language. Germany is a diverse country with many attractions! So, I’ve been there many times for many reasons, but Oktoberfest; the world’s largest beer festival was unforgettable. And the combination of old-world charm and modern urban cities make Germany an ideal destination for travelers.

Berlin, the Capital of Germany
The Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) is one of the complex’s most imposing buildings thanks to its 75-meter-high dome.

In 2024 i did a road trip along the the Moselle Valley from Trier to Koblenz. The rolling hill slopes along this part of Moselle River is very beautiful and particularly suitable for vineyards. Bernkastel-kues offer amazing views alongside the river. The whole area is stunning and relaxed. The Mosel Valley follows the Mosel River and is wine country. Each and every small town along the way from Trier to Koblenz is charming and offers picturesque surroundings. Good wine, great food and friendly people all over. The real gems are castles located high on the hills – the view over the vineyards is really breathtaking
