Our journey to Komodo Island, nestled within the Komodo National Park in Indonesia, was a symphony of natural wonders, ancient reptiles, and turquoise waters. With the salty breeze in our hair and the sun on our skin, we set out to discover this mythical land.
Day 1: Arrival in Labuan Bajo
- We landed in Labuan Bajo, the gateway to Komodo Island. The bustling harbor welcomed us, and our anticipation grew.
- Our boat, adorned with colorful sails, awaited us—a floating home for the next few days.
Days 2-4: Encounter with Dragons
- As we approached Komodo Island, excitement bubbled within us. The Komodo dragons, the world’s largest lizards, roamed freely here.
- Our guided trek led us through rugged terrain, where these prehistoric creatures lurked. Their scaly skin and piercing eyes left us in awe.
- We watched them bask in the sun, their forked tongues flickering. Respectful distance was crucial—these giants were both majestic and dangerous.
